Questions about business tax returns

Fees depend on the work. Read how fees work.

When should I elect S corporation status?

It depends on your profit, a reasonable salary for the work you do, and whether you are ready to run payroll. Adam reviews your numbers and the timing before you file Form 2553.

Do I need to send 1099s to contractors?

Usually, if you paid a person or an LLC for services above the reporting threshold during the year. Collect a W-9 before you pay a new contractor, and we will prepare the 1099s in January.
