How fees work

Every client’s situation is different, so Adam prices the work after he understands it. The first call is a no-obligation conversation, and you will always know the price before any work starts.

What changes the amount of work

  • How many forms and schedules your return needs
  • How many states you need to file in
  • Whether your books are up to date when we start
  • How many bank and credit card accounts there are to reconcile
  • How many entities are involved, such as a business and its owners
  • Whether a letter from the IRS or a prior-year return needs fixing

Questions about fees

What happens on the first call?

It is a 15-minute, no-obligation conversation that you book on the booking calendar. You tell Adam what you need, and he explains how he can help and how he would price it.

Will the price change after I sign?

The engagement letter sets out the work and the price. If Adam finds something that was not part of the original scope, such as an extra state return or a year of books that needs catching up, he tells you and agrees the change with you before doing the extra work.

How do I pay?

Invoices are sent through the client portal, and you can pay them online there. You can also see your past invoices and payments in the portal.
